This is a collage made with cut paper. It was then reworked digitally. These are all found images, mostly from ads and articles in vintage art magazines. I entered it as a contribution to the upcoming “US AND THEM” zine on Society6.

This is a layered, textured digital collage that started with a crow flying overhead. I have crows fly over my house every night at dusk-literally hundreds of them. I caught this one flying directly over my head and decided it would look pretty cool as a collage, and mixed it with a fractal I made that looks like feathers.

“Shorty”

Canvas print on FineArtAmerica. This started with a photograph I took of Trombone Shorty at the AllGood Music Festival, and I worked the fleur de lis into it. I love when people appreciate my work 🙂

I’ve been having fun lately making digital paintings out of my photographs. I’ve never had the discipline to become a fantastic painter, but working digitally with my own photos has opened up a whole new world. It’s a long process involving a couple of different programs, but I think it’s been worth the effort!

I’m really liking the results of using my photos as a base and then adding brush strokes and color. The result is pretty cool-kind of like half  photo and half painting.
